Rain, rain, go away.

Hello family!! Ohio is rainy... That was my week. Rain. But it was still fun.:) Lots of exchanges this week,

On Monday Sister Mecham and I went to Easton!! Oh boy, it was much needed. We needed s stress reliever and the mall does just that.:) We did a lot of window shopping. But, I did end up buying myself a dress for after the mission haha the most trunky thing ever I know!! But, hey it was on sale! I couldn't pass it up.:) We also went to TIFFANYS!! The best place ever. It was a tender mercy, haha! Sister Mecham and I tried on lots of wedding rings...it was great! I felt right at home!  We ended the shopping adventure with California Pizza Kitchen. Girls day was a success!:)

Went on an exchange this week to the mound builders Ward with Sister King! She goes home in a week.. Haha it's fine. It's weird to think the mission actually ends. I wake up every morning thinking that this is my life now! Which is fine cause I looooove it.:) We worked hard in mound builders. It was fun.:) Talked a lot about the Atonement that day because it's EVERYTHING! Literally without the Atonement nothing else matters. So grateful for the Savior.

Had another exchange this week ( it was back to back I didn't see sister Mecham for 2 days!!) with Cambridge. They came to Nerk. They are a tri-panionship so 2 of them came with me! So there was 3 of us,PARTY! We did a lot of tracking in the rain. Still trying to find those the Lord has prepared. We know they are out there! We must sort the wheat from the tares.:) Unfortunately the two people we did find have fallen off of date:( but we are not giving up! Man, missionary work is an emotional roller coaster. But I love it!

Ended the week off by going to a musical fireside put on by the mission about America.  It was sooo good!:) Saw Sister Love for the last time ever:( she goes home next week! Life is so crazy. Anyway keep the sweet Ward of Newark in your prayers that we may find people to teach!
I am grateful for all the support. Love You!
You can take the girl out of Tiffanys but you can't take Tiffanys out of the girl:)

They say the corn here us supposed to be knee high by the Fourth of July.. Not this year. Haha.

Sisters love and McDonald.. love these two sisters!

Daddy Day!!:)

This week has been a good one.:) I am sure all of you are tired of hearing that.. but its true! Every week in the mission is a good one. Especially here in the great OCM. a.k.a the best mission ever, haha!!

Monday wasn't p-day unfortunately because we went to the temple Tuesday! WAHOO!:) It was fabulous! I received a lot of answers to questions I had. It truly is the house of the Lord and I feel so blessed to actually get to go inside and think about Him. Seriously, temples are the biggest blessing. But it was a good temple trip. Afterward our ride got us ice cream but guess who didn't get any? yup,
me!:) I am going off treats once again, Haha! I know this time I will conquer! I have been going 2 weeks strong. I am really proud of myself. It is crazy how the mission works. I have desires to eat healthy and take care of my body, which is a temple. As soon as I started doing it Sister Mecham and I have testified to many about the importance of eating healthy and have helped them. Coincidence? I think not, haha!

It has been a bit of a struggle here in Nerk. We don't have a lot of people to teach.. and a lot of people are being really flaky. Sister Mecham and I have been praying about it and we came to the conclusion that we need to go work area 5. Area 5 is like a super nice part of Nerk. Not really any work has been done there cause it is scary, and a lot do not want to listen. But, Sister Mecham and I both received this revelation in a meeting, so we know this is what we need to do. The Lord will put those prepared in our path. Rich folks are intimidating though, haha! It is so crazy that I have that power from Heavenly Father to know how to help an area. It is really cool!:)

We got our area book put on our Ipads this week so that has been a change! We have to take every teaching record and re type all of it into the app. We have 2 weeks to do this.. haha Oh boy this will be fun!:) We will be using no more paper anything, no planners, or records, nothing. Change is good, but it is sure hard to change.

HAPPY FATHERS DAY to all you daddys out there. I am not bias but...mine is the best, haha!:) Thank you dad for loving me and always being there for me. And also, we should also recognize our other Father, our Heavenly Father. He gave us life, he gave us His son. I am eternally grateful to him.

"The title of Father is shared with the Almighty." -Ezra Taft Benson

LOVE YOU!!
No Soliciting: We are too broke to buy anything. We know who we are voting for. We have found Jesus. Please go away.

Holiness to the Lord. The house of the Lord.

What up! I hit my hump day! See you all in 9 months!!

Companionship unity.. and mustaches.

Empty nesters

So much craziness happened this week I do not think I can even explain it all in one email. But I will try.:)

We had mini missionaries this week, yay! I butchered their names last week.. so if you are reading this please forgive me! Their names are Sister Lange and Sister Watabe. The cutest mini sister missionaries I have ever seen.:) Sister Mecham and I felt like we became parents! haha. We just had so much fun! It was cool cause we would plan two days of work in one day and we would be one on one with the girls. That way they were forced to talk! hehehehe:) But because of double the work we saw many mighty miracles.

So Scot...Scot jumped on mormon.org and requested we call him. We typed his number in and his name was already in our phone! What the heck?? haha. He told us he is coming to church Sunday. We were shocked and were just like, ok! He came Sunday, we taught him Thursday, and he is on date to be baptized July 11. Simple enough!:) Haha. He is just prepared! He was taught about a year ago by missionaries and he wanted the church in his life, so we acted on his faith and requested we come see him. So cool! What's so crazy is the same day we called we had planned to see him, we just didn't make it. I tell ya, the Lord works in mysterious ways.

So now Susie. She is a referral from the Elders! We taught her Monday, we taught her Thursday, and she is on date for the 18th of July! Seriously, so many miracles this week.

Legit though, this week has been a party. The girls would stay up soooo late and eat bagels at like 11 o clock. haha! All 4 of us didn't get much sleep this week.:) We were at a meeting and randomly had a laughing attack. It was bad. haha! We couldn't stop laughing! In all honesty we were just delirious. Man, I learned so much from those 2 girls. It was one of the best weeks of my mission. They were in culture shock at first being in the ghetto, seeing drug deals, etc. But by the end they had as much Nerk spirit as Sister Mecham and I have.  haha! When they left we felt like we dropped one child off for their mission, and the other to college. It is way too quiet and empty in the apartment now.:( Now I know how my parents feel. haha! So sad.

I think mostly pictures can explain this epic week. But I wanted to write about a topic that has been talked a lot about in the church lately, and that is the sacrament. It is so important! I have realized that on my mission. It is the only ordinance that we repeat for ourselves! And we get to do it every week. It is so sacred and special and I wish I would have taken it more seriously at home. I know that as we really ponder and think of Christ and his sacrifice during that sacred time our testimonies will grow and we will find more joy in our day to day lives. Lets give the sacrament back to the Savior.

LOVE YOU!:)

 Love these girls!:)

The road kill gopher.. It was picture worthy haha. Nerk.

 Waxing for days:)

Face masks!!! Spa nights are the best:)

 Face mask models haha:)

Picking strawberries in the strawberry patch:) pretty sure I ate more than picked.. Haha it was way humid hence the hair.

Biggest basket building In the world!! Holla.

Last morning together:( it was so hard saying goodbye!!!

Nerk, Aha

Hello my family and friends!:) I have had a fantastic week this week.

I know I know I promised I would tell you more about Newark Ohio. Or as people call it here Nerk, Aha. Haha! I seriously love it here so much. The people are so friendly. I am always entertained. I never know what I will see behind the door, haha it is seriously the best:) but really, this week had been nuts.

We have no washer or dryer here so we have to wash our clothes at this ghetto laundry mat. haha! We live on 21st street. Pretty much the sketchiest part of town, but we don't care.:) We love our neighbors even if they make our apartment smell like pot everyday! I had my first duties as a sister training leader this week! I got to attend MLC. Which is the missionary leadership council. All sister training leaders and zone leaders join together at the mission home and we receive a training from President and Sister Daines that we have to pass on to our zones! It's a big responsibility but it's really awesome! The meeting was from 8:45 in the morning to 5 at night. Ahhhh, it was long!! But want to know why it was so long?  Well, during the meeting President was like ok go downstairs and get your iPads. Can I just say it was like Christmas? We all ran down stairs as fast as we could. FINALLY IPADS!! It was the best thing ever. We were super excited. I realized that I forgot how to use technology.. haha, I struggled. But we got the iPads set up no worries. :) So, we had zone meeting the next day and I had to do my first training as a sister training leader! It went well. It was fun! Then after the meeting I went on my first exchange with sister Joseph. She is a cutie!:) I got to take her out on OSU to pass out a BOM her very first day. :) So, we have a deep connection. haha! It was fun though. I had to take over an area that I haven't learned yet! #missionlife haha

Nerk is seriously the best though. So many prepared people. I love it! Everyone is so humble. I feel like Sister Mecham and I are learned to fit in a little more. haha! We just have to get our ghetto on and we are good.:) This week has been so crazy though cause Saturday we got mini missionaries. It's really cool, here in Ohio the youth get set apart as a missionary and they spend the week with us! I wish I could've done something like that. We got two. They are adorable. Sister Watabi and Sister Lang. :) I love them already! Sister Lang has her mission call to Salt Lake City East and leaves in like 2 weeks. If spending a week being a missionary doesn't prepare you then I don't know what will!

So we had a miracle this week. We got a media referral, that is when someone goes to Mormon.org and requests a Book of Mormon or something. We get a text to visit them and we go! Anyway we got a referral Scott. He just wanted us to contact him so we called. It was weird cause his number was already in our phone. Turns out he has talked with missionaries before and he wants to be taught again, he just didn't know how to contact us. He is super awesome! He just came to church, we hadn't even taught him a lesson yet. He was super excited. :) He told us at church he felt the Spirit which is something he hasn't felt in a long time! Seriously so cool.:) God brings miracles when we have faith and are obedient.

I have overall been exhausted this week. Bring doubled in, going on exchanges, training other missionaries, and mini missionaries is not an easy thing, haha, but I have some how made it through the whole week.  It's so cool how the Lord gives me that little amount of strength each day. Without him, I wouldn't be strong enough for this journey I am going through. But like ether 12:27 he will make our weaknesses become strengths.  Love you all soo much!:)
Experimenting with the iPads.. It's ok if we act like children we haven't had technology in a while

Me first exchange with cute sister Joseph:)

The Arnotts have this snake... Don't be fooled by the fake smile. I was scared.

Mini missionaries!!:) Sister Watabe, me, Sister mecham and Sister Lang :)

My companion! Can't believe I have only know her like a week:) I love her!!:)

WELCOME TO NEWARK!!

HELLO!!

This is gonna be a short email about the events that happened from Wednesday to now. Are you ready?

So,  Wednesday Sister McDonald and I went grocery shopping and such. We were having a wonderful transfer P-Day. I am training! We knew we weren’t getting transferred. False. We get the call that we are being DOUBLED OUT!! Both of us were leaving! What?? We both got super dramatic and just wondered what we did to get doubled out! I wasn’t going to train anymore! SO SAD!! So we started packing. Man, I hate packing. We were both nervous about where we were gonna end up. We were both being so dramatic. Haha It was actually so funny!!J But we just packed up and got ready to leave OSU. It was harder than I thought it was gonna be.L Once a Buckeye,  Always a Buckeye.

So, we go to transfer meeting and I am sitting there like crying cause I don’t want to leave Sister M. All of the sudden I hear “Sister Love will be follow-up training Sister McDonald!” WHAT THE HECK? My worlds are colliding! Haha I was sooo happy though cause Sister Love and Sister McDonald love each other so I was happy Sister M. got a good comp. So, I am sitting there like ok...what’s gonna happen to me...that’s when Elder Froerer (the AP)) leans forward and says “are you ready?” And I was just like ready for what!? And he was like “we don’t separate trainers and trainees for nothing.”  Right then I got called to be a Sister Training Leader! Doubled into Newark with Sister Mecham! I had no idea! I was legit in shock. So, now I am an STL. It is the girl version of a Zone Leader. Its crazy!!

A great man passed away this weekend. Elder Perry, you will be missed. I am grateful for all the leaders of this church.

Sorry this was so short! I will write more about Newark next week. I LOVE IT HERE THOUGH!!! Sister Meacham and I are being blessed with learning the area fast. OK LOVE YOU ALL!!
